MOTIVATING YOUNG FOOTBALLERS TO GET CLOSER TO THE PROS

We spoke directly to the aspiring players that STATSports is designed for. A global collective of young footballers told us they believe in the power of data to see how they stack up versus the pros. Competition and friendly rivalry in sharing these stats within a community of like-minded footballers was also a major motivator for this audience.

CAMPAIGN

We launched a fully integrated global creative campaign on how STATSports can help aspiring footballers reach the elite. Ambassadors Harry Kane, Harry Maguire, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden, Megan Rapino, and Alex Morgan appeared together in multiple TVCs that aired in prominent global sports slots to reach an audience of over 70M. STATSports became the connection between amateur athletes and their heroes during lockdown. But the global TVC was just the tip of the iceberg. Throughout lockdown, aspiring players stuck at home were targeted by an extensive influencer strategy. The global Instagram and TikTok campaign entitled #ProLevels featured 50 performance-focussed influencers who created engaging drills to complete from home.

STATSports also joined with Arsenal for a truly unique partnership. The star performers of the STATSports community were selected by Arsenal coaches and given the opportunity to train alongside the first-team. US grassroots players were also a key feature of the campaign, featuring in an extensive digital campaign alongside heroes of the USWNT. In the States, the
product is vital in their search for university scholarships.

In a rapidly expanding market, STATSports showed themselves to be the most technically advanced product with the most connected community. The work positioned them as the go-to GPS tracker in football, while delivering seriously impressive sales.

Results

Following a +245% growth in sales in February 2021 (from October 2020), STATSports enjoyed a further 105% increase in product sales via the brand’s social channels throughout 2021.

In the space of a year, STATSports had established themselves as the elite GPS.

STATSports successfully reached 9.7 million aspiring footballers online with training and drill content, helping them to stay active through and beyond the pandemic.

As a result, STATSports is continuing to invest and grow its influencer network
throughout 2022.
