Bringing the amateur and the elite closer together

Despite the widespread cancellation of football, STATSports successfully launched the Apex Athlete Series to a new audience of 14-20 year old aspiring footballers.

Spearheaded by Raheem Sterling, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Phil Foden and Harry Maguire, alongside US Soccer’s Mallory Pugh and Jordan Morris, ‘The Difference’ campaign sought to bring the amateur and the elite closer together.

The creative introduced the idea of ‘marginal gains’ permeating sport at both professional and amateur level; engaging youth audiences who were stuck at home but still training to improve. 

Smart media placement of the TVC made the most of football behind closed doors. While Pro player ambassadors and global influencers gave aspiring footballers a way to stay in the game and keep fit throughout lockdown.

Results
