STATSPORTS PARTNERS WITH EAR TO THE GROUND FOR GLOBAL CAMPAIGN
STATSports unveil a new global campaign: 'The Difference'.
As reported in Sport Industry ‘The Difference’ is fronted by Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden of Manchester City, alongside Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The campaign launched during November’s clash between the two Premier League heavyweights.
Manchester United captain Harry Maguire also stars, plus US internationals Mal Pugh and Jordan Morris. These top athletes join forces with real grassroots players to promote the STATSports Apex Athlete Series - a FIFA-approved GPS performance tracker.
“Our Fan Intelligence® Network identified that STATSports has high brand association with the professional game, but we had a job to do connecting the product with grassroots players,” said Richard Adelsberg.
“Today’s young footballers don’t just dream of one day emulating their idols, they want to see how they measure up right now. STATSports lets them do exactly that. The product is proven to increase fitness and max speed so in terms of reasons to purchase we had a pretty good starting point.”
“But we needed a more emotive hook... ‘The Difference’ brings to life the stats at the heart of the product as a way to motivate grassroots talent to maximise their potential. It’s all about where you want to get to.”
We also rolled out a social extension to the campaign, which saw a collective of football and fitness creators undertake a six-week regime to track their metrics - such as max speed - against Sterling and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
After a successful launch, STATSports are looking to build momentum. Expect to see ‘The Difference’ feature prominently across high-profile football matches over the Christmas period.
