Gaming and football experts from the PlayStation Future Culture Fan Intelligence® Collective had their say - These individuals included a music artist from the UK, a fashion designer from the USA and a gaming streamer from Madrid.
Global fans were bored with how brands were activating their Champions League sponsorship. They wanted brands like PlayStation to bring more fun and excitement to the build-up. Whilst other brands use legends, Fan Intelligence® identified a different opportunity. The next generation of UCL superstars are now more comfortable bringing their personality to life in front of the camera and no brand was owning this.
Next Gen Icons presented the hottest young talent from the Champions League in a way fans had never seen before. The gaming and football-inspired entertainment pushed them out of their comfort zone and hyped up the Champions League in a playful irreverent way that was totally ownable for PlayStation.
